Traffic Bureau Division
|
The primary responsibilities of the officers within this Division are proactive enforcement, enforcing violations of traffic laws that are the usual cause of collisions, and the investigation of most traffic collisions, including hit and run, serious injury and all fatal traffic collisions. Officers are also charged with writing citations for other violations that may not necessarily be the cause of the crashes,for example Driver license violations, insurance and secondary violations, such as seat belts and traffic violations and so on. Also Officers within this Division serves as Highway Patrol.

Maritime Police Division
|
Marine Officers are responsible for ensuring the safety of water users, enforcing laws relating to water traffic, preventing crime on vessels, banks and shores, providing search and rescue services and also responsible for coastal security, conservation law enforcement,immigration and smuggling patrols, and diving search operations.Patrol Zones may be coastal sea waters, rivers, estuaries, harbors, lakes, canals or any combination of these.

Air Support Division
|
The primary duty of Officers within this Division is aerial support for patrol officers. Additional duties include covert aerial surveillance of suspects, search and rescue, transport flights, and Presidential motorcade escorts.

Park/Beach Enforcement |
Officers duties within this Division are as follows patrols the grounds, buildings, and other areas and facilities of parks or beaches to provide assistance and protection for persons, safeguards property. Assists and protects children in crossing streets, at playgrounds, park lakes, play fields, regulates and controls pedestrian and vehicular traffic, notes and reports holes in the pavements, dangerous poles, imperfect street lights,and other conditions constituting dangers or hazards. When on duty at night,notes whether gates, doors, gratings and entrances are secured and ensures observance of the law.

Transit Police Officers maintain order and balance within the transportation system by monitoring and patrolling freights,buses and subways.These officers are responsible for responding to and investigating crimes that occur on any of these transportation systems.Transit Officers keep the people and property on these systems safe.

Vice Unit |
The Vice Unit is responsible for investigating vice-related crimes, including arresting and prosecuting prostitutes, their clients, and pandering suspects; prostitution-related larcenies; drug-related trick rolls, businesses that front for prostitution; sexually-oriented criminal enterprises; juvenile prostitution and related pornography; and felony HIV prostitution cases. The Vice section also investigates human trafficking cases involving commercial sex.

Gang unit |
The Gang Unit is responsible for the monitoring, analysis, and dissemination of gang related incidents, gang intelligence, and gang related crimes.
